Tool shops in the USA and Europe have increasingly formed alliances, sharing capacity, engineering know-how and quoting so customers can buy complex tooling from one source. The logic is simple: buyers want one responsible partner from design through production, and no single small shop can do everything.
What buyers gain from a single source
- One quotation for design, tooling and production.
- One point of contact for engineering questions and changes.
- Shared best practices between design, machining and molding.
- Capacity to handle urgent projects and large tools.
How we deliver single-source tooling
At Nodinson the single source is one company and one building. Engineering, mold design, mold making, molding and metal machining are all in-house in Shenzhen:
- Engineering and reverse engineering with ten mold engineers.
- Mold making on imported CNC, EDM and wire-cutting machines.
- Injection molding on presses from 80 to 400 tonnes.
- Metal machining for mold components and machined parts.
Because the same people design, build and run the mold, lessons from the molding floor go straight back into the next mold design. That feedback loop is a large part of why up to 90% of our molds pass at T1.
Our engineers review drawings and reply in English.
